Waffles

Happy Wednesday!!

Granny likes it when I make waffles for dinner.
Waffles she got last night.
Shhh! just don't tell her I used whole wheat flour, and flax seed.
She turns up her nose to wheat bread "that ole' brown bread" she proclaims!
My secret? I ad 1/4 cup of honey to the batter :)
Although, the flax seed made them turn quite dark and almost gave me away.
I like my waffles with Strawberries, Granny likes her with Blueberries.
This time I even splurged and made real bacon instead of turkey bacon.
Granny does love her turkey bacon.
To top off this yummy, yummy, in my tummy experience I made whipped cream, with just a bit of honey and a pinch of sugar.
I'm getting hungry just typing this.......
Sometimes I make double batches and freeze some for Granny to have for her breakfast.

Whole Wheat Waffles

1 ¾ Cup whole wheat flour
1-Tablespoon baking powder
½ Teaspoon salt
¼ Cup honey
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
2 Large eggs
2 Cups of milk

Stir all ingredients together.
