Mr. Jack the Cat
A little bit about our Mr. Jack the Cat.
Every night, before bed, I place a glass of water on the table by my bed.
At first it started out as mine but my sweet Mr. Jack thinks it's especially for him.
Now each night I have a bottle of water for me and a glass (with ice) just for him :)
We have had him since he could fit in the palm of my hand.
He was the runt of the litter and we didn't think he would make it.
He pulled through and has been such a sweet blessing to our home ever since.
My other cat Sasha Belle is his mother
Not sure if it was because he was the runt and she knew he needed it but she nursed him for over a year.
Even now she still "mothers him" and will cuddle and groom him.
All day, every day, he spends hours in Granny's lap and she rock him in her recliner.
Every day when I get from work he climbs up on the back of the chair by the front door and put his paws on my shoulder like he is giving me a hug, and then I have to carry him around like a baby!
If he is not in our lap he likes to look out the front window and watch the birds or during the day he somehow will climb up under the comforter in Granny's room and sleep (all you see is a big lump under the covers!)
And he LOVES cat treats.
He always figures out where they are hidden too!
Oh! How we love him!

Drinking "his" water. |
Such a sweet and delightful post, Tonya! Mr. Jack is adorable! I have a 3 year old, black and white, green eyed male cat named Romeo. He has his water in the bathtub because he would often spill it when he was younger so I have a tall plastic container that I fill with water daily, so Romeo jumps into the bathtub for his water. It suits him just fine, because none gets spilled and the container is taller than a dish would be, enabling him to drink his water at a more comfortable level. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Tonya, your little cat sounds so very sweet! Cats do bring us such happiness! They all have such unique personalities. I love that he puts his little paws around your neck and lets you carry him around. I had a cat that did that, years ago. Someone was giving away kittens outside the grocery store when my children were young and of course, I couldn't say no! When I picked up this little ball of gray fluff, he put his arms around my neck and I was smitten. We had him for 18 years:) I now have two cats, one is 17 years old now, and one was my Mother's dear cat. She made me promise to take her before she left this world. It was her precious companion and now she is mine. Hope you have a lovely week with your sweet kitties and Granny. xx Karen (new follower) xx
